Alien Hunter' (2003) - Ronald Krauss.

The gloomy 'Alien Hunter' (2003) has James Spader's hunky cryptologist finding himself way over his immaculately coiffed head when menacingly confronted by an antagonistic alien in Ronald Krauss's engrossingly claustrophobic, old school Sci-fright! I have an unobjective  soft spot for this desolate, glacier-set Sci-Shocker, and while the tired theme is wholly familiar, stolid director Krauss orchestrates the desperate, apocalyptic proceedings rather splendidly. While 'Alien Hunter' is way more fun than 'Solaris', it lacks the skeevey B-Movie kudos of 'Creepozoids'. So, the midnight movie lord giveth, and he also royally taketh the pith! Hey!!! As the man once said, you can't have everything, cuz where would ya' put it, mayte!!?? 'Alien Hunter' would also make a cracking ice-breaker on a dangerously defrosted alien themed B-movie marathon!!!
