'Alien 2: Sulla Terra' (1980) - Ciro Ippolito.
As the man once said, Italians do it better, and very few do cheaply made, gleefully opportunistic, unrepentantly gory B-Horror like inventive Italian exploitation film-makers. Certainly no less bonkers than Luigi Cozzi's sensationally slime-slathered, 'Contamination', Ippolito's gore-grizzled, Gorgonzola enriched Sci-shocker about a sky-blue meteorite, high tailin' it to earth on the back of a NASA Luna module, and perpetrating its singularly strange, mankind-mulching mayhem remains a spectacularly spaced-out 80s schlock-fest!!!!! When perfectly perky pot-holer Belinda Mayne's seemingly innocent gift of a curious navy-blue rock comes in fateful contact with her fellow stalagmite clambering chums; one-by-bloody-one this bloodthirstily body-rocking, hatefully head-lopping, torso-tormenting dark crystal violently turns their ruddy rock-climbing cheeks a darker shade of crimson! The cosmically creepy, eye-burstingly bellicose 'Alien 2: On Earth' is a monstrously trashy, sinisterly subterranean sci-splatter sensation that REALLY splatters where it matters, and the galactically groovy, ferociously funky, luridly layered disco-delirious score by cult hero Oliver Onions will bring tears to your bloody eyes!!!
'2 years before maestro John Carpenter's 'The Thing', inspired exploitation loony Ciro Ippolito gorily unleashed his deadly spawned, morbidly mutating 'Alien 2: Sulla Terra' upon a wholly ill-prepared world!!!!. Thundercrack Nubile @ 'Dirty Kunst Video'.
