'Carry on Dick' (1974) - Gerald Thomas.
'Carry on Dick' (1974) is a throbbing handful of scurrilously saucy, shamelessly silly, titillatingly tittersome, bodice-rippingly bawdy, thigh-slappingly ribald larks covering 'every inch' of this perilous stretch of hansom cab heisting highway! Not 'arf, mayte! And while it's a jolly hard thing to consider, (Ooer missus!) but one would have to put this in (Cor!) my top ten (behave!) 'Carry On' broadly-titted comedies, as all the biggest knobs of classic British comedy are on finely boned, ham-fisted, cod-piece thrusting form 'ere, and it don't 'come' any bigger than, Sidney James's magnificent 'Dick' (Turpin), 'Carry on Dick' proudly stands and delivers a delicious deluge of diabolically distracting Double entendres!!!!!!
Once salacious Sid's riotously randy, silver-tongued highwayman completes his persistently priapic peregrinations up the down the insalubrious alleys and bawdy byways of ye olde England, it's a right titivating tonic to witness the beatifically bouncing, picturesquely pert, Babs Windsor give us poor sinners an exquisite eyeful of her conspicuously upfront talents! (Phwooar!!!!) If you can't get off on 'Carry on Dick' then you better call a (Carry on) Doctor as you must surely be in direst need of a (Carry On) Nurse! (Ohhh! Stop muckin' abaht!!!) Big Dick Turpin better keep his infamously dastardly diddler in his diabolical draws as Dick-hungry, handsomely well-appointed, Sir Roger Daley is certainly no slouch on the couch, being no less well-tooled and always on the job! While bungling Bow Street runner, Captain Desmond Fancy falls not infrequently upon his gilded, gallivanting Jacksy, nothing ever gets past the proudly pistol-packing, Jock Strapp!!!! As me dear ol' mum used to say, there's no such thing as too much Dick!!! Wahey!!!!
