'Lady Dragon 2' (1993) - David Worth.

The new and moderately improved sequel to, David 'Kickboxer' Worth's original Rothrock-starring action-distraction 'Lady Dragon', finds our plucky, punch-happy heroine avenging the murder of her beloved husband by a gun happy gang of mask-wearing thieves. The foul deed callously orchestrated by stone-hearted villain, Diego (Billy Drago). In the film's kinetic intro, Susan 'The Golden Angel' Morgan sinuously struts her scintillatingly strut-worthy stuff in the ring, making busy work of an enjoyably rough, slam-bang bout as the exquisitely evil hood Diego callously wipes out three wealthy goombah's for their plentiful diamond booty!

Having only barely survived the brutalising home invasion at the perverse hands of Diego's thugs, Susan's travails begin in earnest while the bloody chaos over the ownership of the contraband diamonds increases the grisly levels of ensuing violence. Favouring bellicose street justice over the vagaries of law, our remorseless 'Angel of Fury' gets down an' dirty in the scum-clogged bowels of the city in order to 'flush out' her abusers, decimating them in a bloody haze of Kung Fury!

While, David Worth's 'Lady Dragon 2' isn't a top-tier, Rothrock skull-rocker, focussing on skuzzy theatrics rather than relentless 'Undefeatable' overkill, there are some righteous skell slayings which highlight, Cynthia Rothrock's quicksilver punches and devastating Roundhouse kicks to enormously cathartic effect! Once again, Cynthia Rothrock makes for an impactful screen heroine, aesthetically delicious as the vengeful Lady Dragon, and when, Rothrock opens up her singularly tight can of 'whup-Ass' it is guaranteed to be a boss level beatdown!

One of the film's more joyous incongruities is, Sam 'Flash Gordon' Jones's bizarre decision to energetically portray lunk-headed bully boy, Reb as a perma-cackling buffoon, thereby creating a weirdly satisfying buzz-cut B-Villain who ultimately proves no match for the righteously revenging Cynthia! Much like its powerhouse star, 'Lady Dragon 2' is generously top loaded, saving all the eye-boggling goodies for last! 'Lady Dragon 2' is certainly no martial arts classic, but I still got a 'kick' out of watching, Cynthia 'sticking' it to the diabolical douchebags who done her so mightily wrong!
