'Motel Hell' (1980) - Kevin Connor.

Kevin Connor's gutsy, darkly humorous fable of a perfidious pair of wildly eccentric, criminally cannibalistic siblings has a no less hyperbolic approach to barmy backwoods hostelry than, Tobe Hooper's equally overripe shocker 'Eaten Alive'! Admired for his distinctly savoury home-smoked delicacies, Farmer Vincent Smith (Rory Calhoun) champions a singularly unconventional approach to 'organic' farming and his gruesomely guarded 'secret ingredient', while terminally tasty, almost certainly wouldn't pass any FDA regulations! The 80s cult classic Motel Hell remains no less sawsome when spleen today!

This terrifically savoury schlock sandwich is entirely deserving of its bedevilled moniker since Motel Hell's very select 'guests' are afforded very little in the way of Michelin star approved hospitality, since rustic rapscallion, Vincent's infamously inhospitable in-house speciality is an all-too literal take on family favourite, the 'All You Can Meat Buffet', and their macabre host's pointedly crude lack of social graces is luridly leavened by a raw-boned, deliciously depraved sense of humour!

The hilariously human harvesting 'Motel Hell' offers horror fans a grisly-gorgeous gore-met menu of slime dining, where subtlety is a superfluous ingredient when preparing such a sardonically seasoned slice of supremely satisfying 80s splatter! While much has been written of the histrionic chainsaw duel finale, every deliciously blood-slathered frame of, Kevin Connor's fiendishly funny, flesh farming fright flick is a rare treat for terror-loving taste buds of all ages! The full-blooded performances by murderous meat packers, Rory Calhoun and the outlandishly obscene, Nancy 'Balbricker' Parsons stick with you long after the blood has congealed! 'Motel Hell' remains a morbidly moorish B-Horror barbecue that's hella fun for the entire family, and y'all WON'T be coming back now, ya'hear!!!
