'Bloodbath at the House of Death' (1984) – Ray Cameron.
When one thinks of cult British horror actors you might not immediately think of TV comedy legend Kenny Everett, but his blissfully bonkers performance in the lovingly restored, sardonically sinister splatter satire 'Bloodbath at the House of Death' might strongly suggest otherwise! Playful Director Ray Cameron, and lauded scrivener Barry Cryer collaborated on the far from squeamish screamplay to create a marrow-curdlingly creepy, spine-crawlingly creaky, Slap-sick satanic classic, gorily unleashing a grisly bad taste cavalcade of morbidly malefic pratfalls, devilishly duplicitous Doppelgängers, and venerable villain Vincent Price chewing up the wonky scenery like a 6ft tall fast-breaking terror termite as the magnificently menacing, crimson-cowled wicked-warlock, the appropriately named 'Sinister Man'. As this asinine group of comedically eccentric 'Supernatural Investigators' led by bespectacled, one-legged buffoon Lukas Mandeville (Kenny Everett) and blonde-haired brain-box Barbara Coyle (Pamela Stevenson) clumsily try to unearth the hellish secret of this ominously appointed abode their curiosity leads them inexorably to their doom! Once anxiously ensconced in the historically hateful Headstone Manor, these bungling boffins are soon bloodily bumped off in a singularly absurd and deliciously diabolical fashion! This sensationally sinister satire about a Satanic Coven's deepest, darkest desires careens creepily to an unforgettably unsane creep-inducing conclusion of cosmic incredulity! If you only watch one Kenny Everett Horror comedy, make sure it's 'Bloodbath at the House of Death', but be warned, as after experiencing this B-Movie hoaxing Bloodbath you might not be able to get rid of the stink for weeks!
