'Freeze Frame' (2004) – John Simpson.

Imaginative writer/director John Simpson's stiflingly paranoid psycho-thriller concerns the decidedly nightmarish predicament of ostensibly falsely accused serial murderer Sean Veil (Lee Evans), a terminally withdrawn, self-isolating, subterranean dwelling loner, and imprisoned within this 24/7, permanently surveilled, militaristically austere bunker, Sean's meticulously documented, relentlessly monochromatic underworld existence is disastrously disrupted when the police produce startling new video-taped evidence that swiftly sends an already hypertensive Sean into a hallucinatory, reality-warping spiral of terror, not only is the integrity of Sean's seemingly untenable 24/7 video alibi thrown into doubt, the tenuous grip on his own nebulous sanity is threatened by these terrible DV-Cam revelations! Gifted director Simpson, and talented actor Lee Evans draw the viewer uncomfortably deep into an oppressively claustrophobic, terrifyingly twisted diorama, wherein the disorientating use of multitudinous DV cameras, some slick assured editing, and a fascinatingly raw, desperately earnest performance by popular comedian Lee Evans makes for a singularly disturbing, wickedly warped vision of psychological horror!
