 'Eyeball' (1975) – Umberto Lenzi.

Undisputed avatar of the groovily grisly Giallo, maestro Umberto Lenzi luridly unleashed one of his most sanguineous, eye-catching B-Movie blood-spillers with the outrageously gruesome, deliciously unwholesome, ocular obsessed slasher movie 'Eyeball'. Steamily set in balmy Barcelona, this barmily bellicose, blood-streaked B-Movie about a jabbering coach-load of crimson cagoule-wearing red herrings, whose Mediterranean holiday soon becomes a horrific house of horrors, since one of their number could well be the deranged, eyeball harvesting maniac whose excruciating modus operand-eye has the beleaguered Inspector Tudela (Andres Mejito) completely in the dark!

Agatha Christie on steroids, visionary cinematic villain Umberto Lenzi's cult, cut-throat classic remains one of his moist zealously appreciated, hyperbolically hysterical, blindingly beautiful, gleefully gory Gialli, the controversial director's delightfully skewed penchant for plentiful top-popping babes and their increasingly gruesome, audaciously graphic, not infrequently sapphic interludes, with its many consummately constructed demises has most certainly maintained the generously blood-shot 'Eyeballs' diabolical allure!!!! Not only is the iconic director Lenzi on rare form, Euro-cult starlet Martine Brochard is most certainly easy on the eyes, and mood maestro Bruno Nicolai has written a series of deliciously decadent themes, with the main theme being quite literally to die for!
