'The Devil's Men' (1976) - Kostas Karagiannis.

Euro-trash master, Kostas Karagiannis's hokey Hellenic horror-show 'The Devil's Men' aka 'Land of the Minotaur' (1976) remains an exquisitely bizarre, mythically macabre, luridly satanic schlockfest! The triumphal triptych of terrific Thespians, Peter Cushing, Donald Pleasence and luscious, Luan Peters all do their best to bolster a conspicuously pulpy, inadvertently mirthsome text. Let me just say that I just ADORED the hot-headed, steamily nostrilled, crimson-orbed, rudimentarily articulated Minotaur! The attractively far-flung locale, moody minimalist score by, Brian Eno, plus a bloodthirsty bevvy of B-Movie buffoonery provides a diabolically distracting, delectably trashy, devil-seeded theatricality! Oft disparaged by horror fans, I proudly remain an ardent supporter, due in no small part to the devilishly charismatic presences of a playful, Donald Pleasence and a rather grim-looking, Peter Cushing. The film's burbling Eno score, innate campness and overall creepy cheapnis repeatedly makes 'The Devil's Men' an entirely guiltless pleasure!

(Fun film fact! 'The Devil's Men' randomly reunites many of the familiarly filthy faces from barnstormingly bestial B-Horror classic 'Island of Death'.)
