'The Phantom Planet' (1961) – William Marshall.

A neat-o, lovably lo-fi,  far-out 60s sci-fi shenanigans about handsome good-guy cosmonaut Frank Marshall (Dean Fredericks) who unexpectedly crashes onto an especially mischievous, wholly invisible asteroid and is eerily shrunken to a miniscule size by forces mysterious, and promptly finds himself challenged to a bizarre ritualistic duel, coolly avoids the aggressively amorous clutches of a needy, sharp-faced Asteroid babe of questionable temperament, bravely battles the terrifyingly freak-faced Solarite monster, and finally contrives a daring way to return to his moon base! While creakier than wooden dentures, and garishly chock-full of 'Lost in Space' gobbledygook, William Marshall's faintly trippy, wonderfully weird-beard B-Movie 'The Phantom Planet' remains a lot of hokey fun to watch, and I really dug the groovy squelchy score by composer Lieth Stevens. Film fact fans might appreciate knowing that the dreaded lumbering Solarite is played by looming character actor Richard 'Jaws' Kiel.
