'Terror' (1978) - Norman J. Warren.
World renowned, and greatly beloved UK low budget horror impresario, Norman J. Warren's sensationally Suspiria-singed, sporadically sadistic, scintillatingly sleazy late 70s slasher, 'Terror' vividly unleashes a bewitching swathe of crimson grue as the hateful curse of this hack-happy hag spells bloody doom for the two remaining, ill fated members of the Garrick family! While the undeniably atmospheric 'Terror' arguably remains one of stormin' Norman's more inventively grisly celluloid offerings, at times, he is, perhaps, stabbing above his weight, but, nevertheless, this smartly written, energetically performed, episodically eerie, supernaturally schlocky slasher, while not without its momentary missteps is a far from pallid affair, generously garlanded with enough glistering Giallo goodness, warped witchiness, bawdy badinage, splendidly shuddersome shenanigans, and luridly flesh flaying incident to sate both hardened horror hounds and terminally tweaked trash-loving sineastes alike!
