'Mausoleum' (1982) - Michael Dugan.
Once risibly listed as a Video Nasty, Michael Dugan's entertainingly camp 80s creature feature finds buxom, emerald-eyed executioner, Susan (Bobbi Brisbee), physically possessed by a malign ancestral demon, and once this misandrist entity evilly fires up Susan's loins, she luridly flashes her pulchritudinous charms to all those she ferociously harms! Poofy-haired Hubby (Marjoe Gortner) is suitably vexed, his wanton wifey is horridly hexed, and kindly befuddled Doc Andrews (Norman Burton) is courageously called upon to X the green-eyed demon...The End! Highlights are D.O.P. Robert Barich's vivid colour palate, the rewarding frequency, and spirited manner that barracuda-lipped bombshell, Bobbi Brisbee exposes her bodalicious bod, and maestro, John Carl Buechler's striking practical FX are some of the breast I've seen, low points are the film's derivative text, and palpable dearth of dread. While 'Mausoleum' is undeniably formulaic, there's a deliciously dayglo schlockiness to Dugan's goofy-grisly, coitus interupting Occult shocker that draws me back inside the neon-hued, cobweb-creepy, voluptuously diabolical Mausoleum!
