'Chime' (2024) – Kiyoshi Kurosawa.

Another surreal, disturbingly off-kilter, creepily enigmatic J-Horror masterpiece from Maestro Kiyoshi Kurosawa. Stark, and chilling, 'Chime' exudes a palpably unsettling quality that struck just the right chord with me. The sudden, seemingly arbitrary manner in which the teacher's life/sanity collapsed with such pitiless ferocity proved quite uncomfortable to watch at times. This one positively reeks of a quite literal descent into madness!
