Man Alive. Consenting Adults 2. The Women (1967).

This earnestly made, inquisitive, moving, and utterly fascinating edition of the ground-breaking Man Alive 2-parter concludes brilliantly with the women's frequently heartbreaking stories. A compellingly in-depth 30 minutes of melancholy, cogent, laudably humanist television reporting. Steeped in pathos, a few of the anguished personal histories exposed are inordinately sad ones. The women interviewed are articulate, and extraordinarily lucid, and quite rightfully express their anger at the grossly intolerant world they must hide their true natures from. Sadly, much of what they guardedly discuss is still very much applicable to the world today. Man Alive Consenting Adults 2: The Women remains exceptional non-fiction filmmaking, and is certainly not to be missed.
