'Lost Boys: The Tribe' (2008) P.J. Pesce.
If someone had suggested that I would have found a Corey Feldman film from 2008 intentionally funny, it might have finally given me good cause to appropriate the ubiquitous movie retort of 'What have you been smoking, dude?'. Hallmark handsome Brother and sister move to seedy seaside locale, and fatefully meet anything but cutely with a murderously thrill-seeking gang of boorishly batso bloodsuckers. Their salvation comes in the wholly unlikely guise of expert board-shaper, and resolute vampire slayer Edgar Frog (Corey Feldman). Frequently gory, moderately sexified, and splendidly silly, I found 'Lost Boys :The Tribe' to be tremendous fun, and Feldman rocks unexpectedly vigorously as the Ramboesque hero, I'd like to believe provided the gravel-voiced inspiration for Christopher Nolan's blockbusting Batman. While I had trouble relating the belated sequel to the iconic 80s classic, it moistly satisfied my hunger for blood-soaked breasts, moonlit marauding, and close quarters carotid chewing carnage!
