'Rubber' (2010) – Quentin Dupieux.
This
is a wheely gripping off-grid, off-beat B-horror about an unusually
locomotive, tarmac terrorizing, telekinetic tearaway tyre that I
found to be anything but tiresome! Take a helter-skelter slay-ride into a bloody
two-lane black-top of freewheeling ferocity, if you want
middle-of-the-road movie malevolence look elsewhere as 'Rubber' is ground
to erase all competition!!!!! Tread softly as this reckless,
road-splattering rubber demon has an empty hole for a soul!!!! And
with all its screws shook luridly loose, this sinisterly spinning,
brain-bursting sinner is one hysterical, super-spherical shocker
where all the B-Movie brakes are off! If you should see a Blacktop
taunting Tricycle and its malevolently motivated minions, it's
already tomb late, as they shall very soon corrupt your living
corpuscles into icy corpse-cycles! So, buckle up fright fans as it's gonna be a bumpy ride, and I'm quite sure you will have a ball with Quentin Dupieux's logically elastic 'Rubber'...long live the new synchromesh!
