'Killer Nun' aka 'Suor Omicidi' (1979) – Giulio Berutti.
Perhaps initially more notorious for having ageing screen siren Anita Ekberg playing an increasingly insane nurse, latterly one of the more devoted and diligent care assistants in a well-to-do psychiatric hospital, home to a delightful cuckoo's nest of lovable crackpots and eccentric octogenarians, the gimlet-eyed bride of Christ Gertrude (Anita Ekberg) now seems to be possessed of far less benign passions, once caring, now morbidly lustful, the magisterially malevolent, morphine-raddled Gertrude commits acts nun might perceive as being remotely altruistic, the grossly distempered Ekberg soon making a nasty habit of asinine assignations many might call outright satanic!
The impishly irreligious 'Killer Nun' has a singularly camp charm all of its own, the divine absurdity heightened with the sudden arrival of the new doctor, played by 'Trash' movie cheesecake Joe Dallesandro who keeps most of his demonstrative acting skills in his pants! Director Giulio Berutti's is a divinely decadent, hysterically entertaining sinfully salacious, diabolically deviant, blood-spattered nunsploitation classic, B-Movie blasphemy has never been so much Nun! If you end up on nurse Gertrude's wickedly warped ward you haven't got a prayer!
