 'Cold Prey' (2006) Roar Uthaug.

While I do take a little pleasure in gently refuting 'aint it cool's specious claim that 'Cold Prey' is one of the most perfect Slasher Movies ever made; it sure 'aint, not by a long stroke of the axe, but it energetically makes for some pretty darn gnarly-good icy slice n' dice nonetheless! Capable director Roar Uthaug's cold-cutting creep-show 'Cold Prey' takes a similar terror tack to unsung maestro Christopher Webster's oft-neglected, frost-bitten slasher classic 'The Chill Factor', as a likeable group of young, thrill-seeking snowboarders endure a terrible, unexpected mishap that forces them to temporarily seek shelter in the deliciously sinister deserted ski-lodge, wherein ice-cool liquor, and hot blood very soon begins to plentifully flow! While deliberately formulaic, 'Cold Prey' ultimately proves itself to be a splendidly entertaining, glacially grisly retrograde slasher with some remarkably well executed shocks, and savagely executed jocks! But take heed, this towering, ice-veined killer is snow joke, as he is one despicably gruesome-looking, glacier-dwelling demon you sure wouldn't wish to icepick a fight with, dude! Cold Prey's true highlight is the durable, and entirely delectable Jannicke (Ingrid Bolsø Berdal), who is arguably one of the most convincingly tenacious final girls in recent memory!
