'The East' (2013) - Zal Batmanglij.
Caught this half-decent divertissement on the telly box not so long ago, nae bad for a tea and biscuit time-waster! Beauteously blonde, but weirdly bland Brit Marling goes full pseudo Serpico to infiltrate a skeevey bunch of neo-hippie, mud-headed, poster-perfect, agitprop, fashionista 'The Man' hating trustafarian twerps! Dangerous duplicity, murderous mendacity, and groovy intestine grubbing ensues! I wanted everyone to die horribly, but I'm pretty much like that with every blahdy modern film I see these days! For me, the most impressive aspect of this film is the director's truly magnificent moniker!Friday, November 26, 2021
