The bracingly mean-spirited, gun barrel dark, splatter-slathered horror sickie 'The Collector' remains a skin-slashingly snappy, teeth-grindingly grim gore fest, and it's a helluva fun ride watching kindly cat burglar Josh Stewart desperately trying to out MacGyver the merciless mask-wearing, family flaying freak!!! – 'The Collector' is the ghoulish, weirdly fetishistic, tortuously twisted, orgiastically ominous offspring of 'Home Alone' gruesomely reimagined by some nihilistic, dungeon dwelling sadist! And composer Jerome Dillon's sinister score is a divinely downbeat delight!
