'Is Your Honeymoon Really Necessary' (1953) & 'My Wife's Lodger' (1952) – Maurice Elvey.

Enter the Dors of perfection!!!! Talented Director Maurice Elvey's endearingly whimsical, energetically made 50s comedy classics vividly prove that dreamy-delicious Diana was so much more than the plain girl next Dors!!! This blissfully buxom British bombshell made quite an impact on my girl-crazy young mind that still resonates loudly today! These are two of the most unexpectedly wonderful and thoroughly edifying film restorations by the stalwart archivists at the BFI, this breezily good humoured collection of vintage larks, sublime  sauciness and wholesome wholesale buffoonery is a gut-busting, smirk-worthy celluloid sensation, and a nigh on essential Blu-ray purchase for Diana Dors fans! Cor!! That celebratory curvy blonde is a right bleedin' ahndful, mayte!
