'Women of Valor' (1986) – Buzz Kulik.

Stoic, yet spicy-looking nurse Susan Sarandon finds herself and her fellow heroic nurses captured and cruelly mistreated by the Japanese in Buzz Kulik's gritty WW2 W.I.P drama 'Women of Valor' (1986), and plucky co-star Kristy McNichol is a propah perky pistol as her tomboyish, tough-talking pal T.J Nolan. A robustly acted, emotionally engaging, entirely meritorious TV movie about an especially brutal chapter of the second world war.
