'Ring of Darkness' (1979) aka Un' ombra nell 'ombra. - Pier Carpi.
Pier Carpi's delightfully bedevilled B-Horror classic 'Ring of Darkness' (1979) aka Un' ombra nell 'ombra is darkly blessed with a truly terrific cast, and an especially lively, Luciferian score by the iconic terror tunesmith Stelvio Cipriani! The splendidly lurid entertainment value of this vintage pentagram-packed potboiler is certainly increased by the sexily satanic 70s serenade composed by maestro Cipriani! (if ailing memory serves, said theme also appears in Pieces') With its garish generosity of risque rituals, bawdy Baphomet bonking, and wickedly witchy wrongdoings, Carpi's 'Ring of Darkness' remains one grievously groovy, gloriously gobbledygook gabbling, goat-worshipping cinematic wonder that sinfully suggests that the devil doesn't only make the best music, some of his left-handed films are pretty funky too!
