Fossil (2014) - Alex Walker.
A quarrelsome married couple find their emotional problems intensify during a sultry summer holiday in La belle France. On their first day a lively bohemian couple use the pool, mistakenly thinking the house is empty, and their increasingly uneasy presence acts as a nervy catalyst for the film's dramatic climax. Fossil is a solid effort, it starts Eric Rohmer-ish, and concludes Claude Chabrol-ish! The performances are great, the text is fine, and the sun scintillated location is an estate agent's dream.Monday, June 24, 2024
