 Goth (2008) - Gen Takahashi.

Haunting, stylised, and soothingly melancholic, Goth is a compellingly macabre J-Horror mystery about an aesthetic serial killer, whose artful, singularly meticulous modus operandi darkly obsesses two secretive, eerily insightful, morbidly-inclined teenagers. I thought Gen Takahashi's Goth was a truly exceptional film, and I was deliciously captivated right up to the engagingly emotional climax. As an aside, I would have loved to have met someone like Morino when I were a lad at school.
