'Ghosthouse' (1988) - Umberto Lenzi.

Giallo icon, Umberto ‘Cannibal Ferox’ Lenzi's far from static, shudder-shrouded, splatter-happy spaghetti slasher ‘Ghosthouse’ aka ‘La casa 3' is sinisterly set within a nightmarishly clown-haunted spook-house! Unjustly condemned by schlock-hating negheads, Ghosthouse's vividly rendered, crimson-hued set-pieces, ear-worming synth vibes, and the deliciously overwrought performances from a boisterously bemused cast adds some additionally piquant B-movie savour to maestro Lenzi's hallucinatory, hack-happy haunted house shocker! the delightfully off-key Wiseau-esque shrilling of, Kate Silva's obnoxious brat, Tina is arguably worth the price of admittance alone!

This squalid, diabolically depressed domicile is evilly haunted by a basement dwelling, malevolently mog-mangling, shriek-inducing terror-clown! Lenzi 'aint known for clowning around, the cannibal King rarely dials down the radio goo-goo, and his gorgeously gloopy 'Ghosthouse' unleashes some terminally tacky nocturnal transmissions! While fondly remembered by avid Filmirage fright fans, it doesn't resonate at quite the same freakish frequency as, Fabrizio Laurenti's freaky 'Las Casa 4'. Classier than it needs to be, the annoyingly hummable theme by composer, Piero Montanari is well worth tuning in to! An amusingly squirrelly supernatural slasher, 'Ghosthouse' operates on its very own weirdly warped wavelength, and the macabre mystery within this historically hateful house will luridly lead these radio hams to their slaughter!

'Forget the tepid, terror-light 'IT', the jubilantly jugular-slashing, skull-wrecking, airwaves hijacking, coffin stuffin' clown in 'Ghosthouse' is one ornery, off the hook spook!!!!' - Weirdlingwolf.

'Ghosthouse is a histrionically teen-creaming, hallucinatory B-Movie bloodbath! All terror trippers should groove on Lenzi's gruesome, karo syrup slinging 80s schlock seranade!' - Rosalba Demented.

'The macabre mystery within this historically hateful house of horrors will luridly lead these radio hams to their sanguinous slaughter!' - Tor Bronson.
