'Frankenstein's Daughter' (1958) – Richard Cunha.

Mary Shelley's immortal tale of mortal terror is luridly resurrected by the tantalising trash terrorist behind 'Giant From The Unknown' in cult 50s SCI-Schlock spooktacular Frankenstein's Daughter. This fitfully fabulous, sinisterly stitched together B-shocker exposes a similarly crazed L.A. descendent of the infamous Baron, Oliver Frank, (Donald Murphy) Frank fiendishly fashioning his very own morbidly mutated murder mannequin!!!!!

Blithely twisting human flesh to suit his own sinister ends, playing god soon turns this malign medical madman into a destructive, death-dealing devil! A decent cast do their best with the clunky chat, as it becomes screamingly obvious that it's not only Frankie's baby doll that needed a brain, but the scriptwriter too!!!! Hell!!! any text that includes the zingy line “Tonight you will be alive again, you Vixen!!!” certainly ain't ALL bad! Cunha's delightfully ditsy Drive-in gem about a bug-eyed bugaboo is not without its imperfections, I'm sure the more skewed schlock seekers are bound to dig it muchly! Personal highlights include scintillating curvy scream queens Sandra Knight and Sally Tod, the marvellously mongrelised, melt-faced monster's snazzily stripy threads, and judicious usage of the term Meddling Kids!!!

Some things are more beautiful in death!”
